GGIS 489 – Programming for GIS , Instructor, Spring 2024

This course introduces the fundamentals of R programming for spatial data manipulation and analysis. Students develop practical skills for working with geospatial data in R, enabling informed decision-making and insightful spatial interpretations. The course culminates in an extensive project where students conduct spatial analysis related to their own research.

GGIS 379 – Introduction to GIS , Graduate Teaching Assistant, Fall 2022

This course covers the foundational principles of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including geographic data theory, map projections, coordinate systems, and thematic map creation. Students gain hands-on experience using industry-standard GIS software.
